Instagram Reels Shot-Clock Script
A Reel is a timed sequence, not a caption with a camera. Pick 15, 30, 60 or 90 seconds. The first three seconds are reserved for the hook. Each beat gets a spoken line, a six-word overlay and a visual. Word budgets use a speaking-rate estimate of about 2.5 words per second — not an Instagram limit, and not a view forecast.
How to use it
- Name the topic and who the clip is for.
- Write one promise, one proof, one close.
- Choose duration and hook pattern. Generate. Cut any beat marked over slot.
Sample: Sunday prep for 12-hour shifts, night-shift nurses, 30 seconds, interrupt hook.

FAQ
Is 2.5 words per second an Instagram rule?
No. It is a speaking-rate estimate so you can see when a beat will overrun. Speak your draft out loud with a timer.
Will this find a trending sound?
No. Audio discovery lives in Instagram. This page times the spoken track you already plan to say.
Why six words on screen?
A phone viewer cannot read a paragraph while the cut is moving. Six words is a planning cap, not a platform cap.
